Meditation Space Design
This concept focuses on the ebb and flow of all the elements on Earth, specifically the hot springs in Arizona. I derived this inspiration from the 200,000 gallons of water that emerge from the Earth’s mantle into the springs daily, and how this process has repeated for thousands of years.

- The space will utilize a radial balance, emphasizing the significance of the circle in nature while also depicting a sense of repetition.
- A fountain that slopes around the meditation space will continuously flow, creating an ambient auditory experience.
- The fountain represents the circle of life, as it continuously recycles the water. The roof is made of iron, which will rust to a reddish-orange, resembling the desert mountains.

Spatial Form Study
A crepe myrtle flower inspired the spatial form. I thought about my abstraction as if I were under it, looking up. I incorporated all the basic elements from my abstraction into my structure.

- The petals are the columns, and the triangles represent the base of the flower.
- The circular elements tie in the yellow parts of the center, dangling down, creating an interesting spatial relationship around the base pyramids, allowing one to walk inside and in between them.
- The large hanging cylinders form another spatial relationship in the center of the form.
